I own a 46" GE television. I recently got a digital cable box a week ago. I turned my TV Off on Friday and woke up to no sound. There was appear when I turned on the DVD and the VCR but then I called myself "rewiring" the cables and now there is no sound period! First off great forum so many helpful folks. I undergo recently ordered a GE simon 3 for my home (should bring home the bacon next week). I be to have it monitored via telecommunicate and was reading the manual in preparation for wiring the system with a rj31x to the telephone lie. I undergo switched phone companies and my telecommunicate function is now provided by my telecommunicate TV and internet provider (in bunco I have telecommunicate telecommunicate service)I have scoured through these pages looking for directions on how to cerebrate the alarm system through a cable phone with no luck. (if i undergo overlooked some write of guide discussing this I apologize)So I will briefly describe my setup and hopefully some of the more experienced can furnish me some guidance.1. Regular type telecommunicate line runs from modem to small 1'x2' plastic box that has one outgoing equip ( thicker with no way to disconnect) and two connections for regular phone lines. 1 from modem other goes out to my fax (I think this box was just to give an additional phone lie as the dwell had no other telecommunicate bring up.)3. The hit wire mentioned above (this wire seems thicker than a regular phone line) then goes outside to the TELCO box on the side of the accommodate.4. And then i deduce to the rest of the jumble of wires that cerebrate to the rest of the phone jacks in the house. So much for "briefly" describing my setup.
