Veteran weathergirl killed in car crash

Sad news reaches TVScoop. Veteran TV weathergirl Trish Williamson has died in a car accident. The 52-year-old was killed when her car crashed into a field come Weybread on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Williamson was one of the original weathergirls to appear on TV-am alongside Wincey Willis and Ulrika Jonsson. Williamson became an ITV weathergirl in the '90s and featured on the ITN news as well as working as a producer and director.
The BBC described her as “an award-winning journalist” and said cater were “deeply saddened” by her death. Producer Paul Woolwich said: “Trish was a fine filmmaker who was at the peak of her go and was adored by everyone. Our thoughts and prayers go to her two boys and her family.” No other vehicle was involved and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
