"Captured with FCP 4.0. Can I edit with Final Cut Express 3.5?" posted by ~Ray

I have video captured onto an external drive. Can I take that drive and hook it up to another Mac and edit the video with Final Cut Express 3.5? __________________ACT. UNIX ACES. LA. FCP User Groups:New Orleans & Lafayette Hi Ben,Thanks for your response. I have 8 hours of captured (not edited) video on my hard drive. If I want to use Final Cut Express does this mean I have to recapture all 8 hours?Nick No you shouldn't have to. I think that you can go from FCE to FCP just not the other way around as BenB has stated. I have never used FCE but I imaging that it captures footage the exact same way. In the worst case senario you may have to export the footage as some other flavor of quicktime then import that into FCE and then start your project. What are the specs of what you shot? Are these DPX scans. HD footage or DV of some sort? You can take the capture files directly into an FCP project you can't open an FCE project into FCP. __________________ACT. UNIX ACES. LA. Posted on 2008-10-02 02:46:21

ordain supposedly show the largest squid ever caught on video. A squid researcher with film man in tow filmed a squid estimated to be between 50-100 feet desire at 1,000 feet in the Sea of Cortez. How did they get the video? They strapped a small camera to another large squid the Humboldt (I would love to see the logistics of that) and released it back to the deep. And before you ask.. yes you will have to sit through the entire episode to see the 15 seconds of video. &write 2008. All Rights Reserved. DivePhotoGuide com. Underwater Holdings. "Batasan blast fatality's widow believes captured, slain Abus 'fall ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-02 02:12:20

The widow of Marcial Taldo one of the fatalities in Tuesday night's make noise at the Batasan complex in Quezon City does not trust the investigation carried out by the Philippine National Police and other government agencies. Radio dzBB reported Friday night that Florian Taldo suspects that the three Abu Sayyaf members killed and three others captured in Quezon City Thursday were go guys to reenforce claims of an assassination plot on Rep. Wahab Akbar. She said it was odd that guard zeroed in on the suspects so fast and that they had not even grilled security personnel at the House of Representatives yet. Also she doubted the sincerity of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in offering a P5-million reward for information leading to the capture of the suspects. Taldo was killed on the spot after a bomb exploded at the Batasan complex shortly after the end of Tuesday's session. Colleagues of Taldo have planned a funeral march for him before burying him in Novaliches. The funeral walk will pass through the House's gate. Earlier the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) accused the Arroyo administration of staging the Batasan complex blast that killed Akbar and three others Tuesday night. In a statement on the Communist Party of the Philippines website (www philippinerevolution net). NDF monitoring committee chairman Fidel Agcaoili said government had the most to gain from the incident. "The NDFP-MC holds the Arroyo regime responsible for this dastardly bombing. The sharpening contradictions within the ruling classes over lucrative government contracts bribery of congressional and local officials electoral fraud and impeachment procedures have considerably increased the level of state violence against the people," he said. He added there is widespread perception that Tuesday's incident was connected with the explosion at the Glorietta 2 mall that killed 11 persons and wounded more than 100 others last Oct. 19. Agcaoili said both incidents were meant to "deflect the people's attention away from the corruption scandals and lay the basis for the adoption of draconian measures by the Arroyo regime for its political survival." Meanwhile. Agcaoili said the NDFP condemns Tuesday's assail blast which killed Marcial Taldo and wounded Gabriela Rep. Luzviminda Ilagan. He added he does not evaluate the Arroyo administration and its investigative task forces to carry out any impartial and credible investigation of the explosions. "They easily jump.
